Frequently asked questions
Paper, kraft or film?
Matt paper for jars and boxes that stay dry; kraft for a handmade look. White film for bottles that go in the fridge or an ice bucket, or for oily packaging: it stands up to water and wipes clean. Transparent film lets the glass show around your design.
Do they work in a labelling machine?
Yes: choose the roll with a 76 mm core. If your machine needs a particular winding direction, tell us with the order and we check before printing.
Can I write the batch or date by hand?
On matt paper and kraft, yes, with a pen or marker. On film, a permanent marker works best.
What text does the label need?
It depends on your product: ingredients, allergens, batch or alcohol content, for example. You supply the text; we lay it out so it reads well at that size.
